Story : The story revolves about the two buses coming on opposite direction crash at each other on the National Highway in Vizhupuram. The Tragic scenes screens a flashback which unfolds the life of a two different contrast lover couples with a colour of fun and joy in a lateral way. Then the tradegy folds the story with tears and other human emotions leads to a intensive message.

Saravanan has proved as a excellent director to the Tamil cinema and to the audience in a state of uncertainty whether its a first movie of him.

Jai as an innocent youth who steals the applause of audience especially young girls heart and their expectations of today's dream boy well suited to him and made a best impression to its character with his excellent performance. This film is the another milestone in his career next to Subramaniapuram. And he paved a step as a " Actor From Hero".

Anjali as a out-spoken and straightforward girl in love with Jai. And a eye-pair for the character. She looks very cachy hero-act as a heroine in the movie. Her way of acting completely different from her previous endeavors "Angadi Theru" and "Katrathu Tamil".

Sharvanand has excelled as a modern chennai corporate guy with his casual dialogue delivery with ananya. And deserves as a best for his very casual light angry talk with an innocent girl.

Ananya has been made for best to that character given a innocent token to her acting with an extra-ordinary looks and innocent signs.

In Sathya's music, all the Songs are fluting chill through the ears to the heart, especially the background score tunes well and debutant sathya deserves the title of a "Best Composer".

Special Catch : Velraj's cinematography and Kishore Te's editing are the beam of the movie given a strong base and liveliness to the story.

Story Screw : The story revolves about the two buses coming on opposite direction crash at each other on the National Highway in Vizhupuram. The Tragic scenes screens a flashback which unfolds the life of a two different lover couples with a colour of fun and joy in a lateral way. Amudha (Ananya), an engineering passout comes to Chennai from a town Tiruchy to Chennai for an interview. Situation leads her to take the help of a stranger Gautham (Sharvanand) to locate the company. Initially she is scared and doubt on him but slowly starts admiring him. Meanwhile, there is another romantic couple Kadhiresan (Jai) and Manimegalai (Anjali). Kadhiresan is a soft-spoken and kind hearted falls for a young nurse Manimegalai, who is out-spoken and very bold in her life.

After finishing the interview, Amudha backs to Tiruchy but her thoughts floats with Gautham. Gautham too longing to see her to express his love. Amudha comes to Chennai in search of him. At the same time, Gautham comes to Tiruchy to hold the hands of Amudha. Meanwhile, Kadhiresan and Manimekalai gets together as a one and after a series of interesting events in their romance, they decide to go to a village near Vizhupuram to meet Kadhiresan's family. Gautham, Kadhiresan and Manimekalai boards a bus to Chennai, while Amudha takes a bus from Chennai to Trichy. Near Vizhupuram, the buses collide with a straight to straight accident which leads to a major diasaster. Some of them died and most of them got a severe injury. Amutha is seriously injured but Gautham got back her. And the climax frames the death of Kadhiresan feels to be Manimekalai life with eternal sorrows.

And the story ends with a tears like a river on the face of each audience and with a significant message to go slow and careful while driving a vechicle.

Critic : The new director Saravanan has proved his talent in the direction of making a worthy film. The story cent percent suits the title "Engeyum Eppothum" and deserves a best feature film and message of the existing & endless forthcoming years of years. From the begining to the end of the movie has tied the audience with a Pleasant, Love, Fun, Joy and Sorrows. And everything are beautifully portrayed well by the director. The director has given a few glimpse of characters to the message and story. One passenger is returning from Dubai to meet his daughter after 5 years but he lost his life when bus collides. A college girl and guy falls for each other in the bus. They dont even talk to each other. They steal their eye-sight often due to this the girl cost her life in the bus mishap. This scenes also support additional effective cost of the ironic feel which leads to intake the message of the movie with a sorrowful fire.

Overall Report : The movie Engeyum Eppothum stands for the best of the story and the two different contrast lover couples where they meet at one point strikes to face a tragedy are narrated and screened in a lateral way. A dozen of bouquet to the director Saravanan who brings the value of every single life in the movie. A journey of life in a bus when we think all is well that ends well, but sometimes fate perishes the enjoyment without knowing that death is coming close to them. Engeyum Eppothum brings a closer view of a human life to the people who looks just a number of people died in a road mishaps. One of the everseen 'best tamil entertaining movie laced with a significant message' which hits the box-office. Overall, its a high standard movie and climax with a valuable message to the society with an international cachy film base. A worth watching film in theatre at twice or more.

Venkat Prabhu has been a worthy director of making commercial movie.He has done a good job.

Arjun has excelled in CBI role and proves that he is truly the Action King.

In Yuvan Shankar Raja's music, three Songs are tuning well, especially the background score adds to the thrill of the movie and fast track with International standards.

Trisha has very limited scope in this movie and has not given much importance as like heroines are not given importance in Tamil Commercial movies.

Lakshmi Rai has played a better Villi role in this movie. And she looks very gorgeous and tied the audience in seats and also made their hearts to feel very lightly by exposing her glamour well in the movie.

Jayaprakash has lived as arumuga chettiyar.

Special Catch : The songs are captured attractive and the scenes are eye-catching with Sakthi Saravanan's cinematography. Editing work is done marvellous by Praveen and Srikanth.

Story Screw : The film is about 4 young criminals – Vaibhav Reddy, Ganesh, Mahat and Premji Amaran looking out to swindle the big sum of Rs.500Crores for IPL betting. These bookies are into a big plan of looting the currencies, but they become directionless with the entry of Vinayak (Ajith), a police officer suspended for 6 months in service. Four become Five and they all go ahead with new plans, but everything doesn't go as planned as the characters start playing 'Mankatha' among them. Meanwhile, there is a special CBI officer Prithviraj (Arjun) appointed for trapping the bookies and soon are on the hunt of these off the field players trying to loot the money. Finally, all are trapped and killed except Vinayak and the greatest mystery reveals at the climax that its a Master Stroke Plan by both Vinayak and Prithviraj. And then the Suspense of Game Ends with a thrilled applause.

Critic : Venkat Prabhu proved that he is a good commercial director. But, we can't agree the sentence what he said: 'A hollywood standard movie in local budget' on the day of audio release. First half is very slow with lots of unnecessary scenes especially imaginative work scene before interval and screens as an ordinary Tamil commercial movie. The film lacks in the basic commercial formula of logical connectivity and the director wouldn't paid the pathway of high standard logical connectivity magic. But, second half is simply rocking though the movie has many flaws. These 3 songs ( 'Nee Naan....', 'Vaada Bin Laada....', and 'Nanbane....' ) made the movie to be very slow and unnecessarily spoiled the pathway of the movie. And the film slipped to attain the International standards. The entry of Ajith and his bike stunt are seems to be very mass and outstanding. In dance flow, Ajith have failed again anyway he tried to satisfy better atleast in 'In open the bottle machi' song.

Overall Report : The movie Mankatha is a good commercial movie,first half is very slow and boring but the second half withstand the movie to be very speedy with unexpected thrilling happennings. Ajith gives the new way of meaning to the Villan role and framed as a best negative role as a 'The Godfather of Villan'. Dialogue delivering by both Ajith and Arjun are awesome. Comedy is spinned well to the extent it needed for the movie. The Highlight of the movie is 'Effective High Standard Climax Suspense Twist' have made the fans and audiences to be tired of whistling and clapping to the core. Mankatha is the special treat to the fans by 'Ulimate Star - Thala'. Overall, its a good successful tamil standard entertaining movie hits the box-office. And being as an audience worth watching in theatre at once and twice or more as a fan.
